DAY 2 - PERDIKA > ERMIÓNI
We woke to beautiful blue skies and sun. We left the port, went around the corner and had a swim before breakfast. The water was amazing, warm like a bath! It was heavy with salt which made floating very easy. This became our routine for the rest of the trip.
Wake, swim, eat, sunbathe, swim, eat, explore, eat, drink – repeat.
After lunch we continued south to Ermioni. A small town on the Argolid Penunsula. A few of us headed into the town and checked out a bakery then walk around the town. Monita and I then carried walking down toward the headland. It was amazing, the water so clear and blue. And a quietness we hadn’t yet experienced on our travels. The islands are different more so that the small restaurants and shops would be closed for a few hours throughout the day and then be open until quite late.
We weren’t alone on our tour. There were six other yachts. That night everyone gathered together for a punch party, then dinner, then drinks at a couple different bars. The highlight of Ermioni was the Chicken Gyros from the Souvlaki Bar. A warm pita, filled with marinated chicken, salad, sauces and hot chips. It was heaven, and only €2.50! From then on, every port we stopped at we hunted for the best Gyros.
