Morocco / Day 5

Leaving the desert was a bit of a relief with sand in between my toes, in my hair, my ears my everything. But to be honest, sitting at the top of the dune watching the sunset with a wine in hand, huddling around the campfire with Moroccan drums, camel riding, climbing in the sand dunes, and waking up to the serenity of the desert, was amazing and an absolute privilege to experience. - Laura Morrison

Day 5 was big day of driving. From the desert we headed west to the coast to Agadir, the hometown of Abdoul. On the way we saw goats climbing trees, yes, goats in tree. Read about why here.

Before the hotel we stopped of at an argan oil shop and learnt about the process used to get the oil from the acacia tree. We checked into the hotel, had a decent shower and headed to dinner at Abdoul's sister in laws house for a true traditional meal, it was delicious! A few of us finished the night off with a few beers and a shisha.
